So I was re-watching Bomb Girls (as one does from time to time) and I noticed that Kate’s new hairpin magically appears in her hair after Betty gives it to her.
Which made me think that they cut out Kate putting it into her hair and then I got butterflies because omg what if Betty put it in her hair and they cut that out
and then I get so many feels and curl up into the foetal position, as per usual

An Israeli woman wearing a shirt that says “Death to Sudanese” as racism in Israel has reached its peak.
Thanks @Occupy2gether
Surprise, surprise
One of the most incredible moments of my time with Occupy DC last fall was when about 50 of us were engaged in this really intense, hours-long discussion about racism and marginalization, particularly within ODC, with POC calling out all kinds of shit and white people getting their feelings hurt all over the place, and this Israeli woman (who was consistently, notoriously horrible) got up and announced that she didn’t understand why Americans like to talk about race so much because they don’t really have racism in Israel.
You could almost hear the clattering of jaws hitting the floor throughout the room.

F. Scott Fitzgerald in drag for the Princeton Triangle Club, 1915-1916. And because he was such a free bitch, he was voted most beautiful Show Girl for the play “The Evil Eye” which he wrote the lyrics for and starred in.

Jamaica has a rich history, and as we celebrate 50 years of Independence, we take a look back at how we got here. With the kind assistance of the Institute of Jamaica, ‘Objects from our Past’ the Gleaner will highlight a total of 50 objects which are part of the Institute of Jamaica’s collection. Here they feature two of these Objects from our Past.
